Burning for Village Residents

Burning in the Village is regulated under Village Ordinance
Title 5, Chapter 2, Section 5-2-9 which can be found at the following link:

.  The burning dates are set early in the year for both the Spring and Fall burning dates.  The burning dates for the Spring of 2024 are  the last two weeks in April (April 12th thru April 30th).  Burning dates for the Fall of 2024 are the first two weeks of November (Oct. 26th thru Nov. 10th).  Please adhere to all regulations as described in the ordinance. Burning Permits for Township Residents

Burning permits are now available online for Township residents. They are perpetual, so for as long as you reside at the address of the burn permit, you will not need a new one.  To apply for your permit at no cost, please follow this link, we will respond if approved or denied.  Thanks!

Once you obtain a permit from the fire department, you will need to contact the St. Croix County Communication Center (SCCCC) at (715)246-6131 or (715)386-4701 to inform them that you would like to burn.  If there is a ban, SCCCC will inform you that it is not okay to burn until the ban is lifted.  It is prohibited to leave the fire burning unattended, and you may only have one fire burning at any one time.
